Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday June 20 2026 at New Hope Family Center Pastor Dean Eudy will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment to follow at Oaklawn Cemetery. Debbie was born in DeKalb Texas June 21 1951 to James Edward and Dorothy Nell Jones Barnes. They preceded her in death. Debbie was a Registered Nurse for many years in Paris Texas and later taught in the Paris Junior College nursing program for more than two decades. Debbie married Donnie Bookout July 28 1967 in New Boston Texas. She was a member of New Hope Church and Delta County Library Book Club. Survivors include her husband Donnie Bookout of Cooper Texas sons JD Bookout and wife Emily of Forney Texas and Dallas Bookout and wife Stacy of Royse City Texas five grandchildren and six great grandchildren many nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 1100 a.m. Wednesday July 1 2026 at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel with Chad Gregg officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services. Interment will follow at Lake Creek Cemetery Lake Creek Texas with Military Honors. Bobby was born on June 10 1947 in Paris Texas to Toy Bishop and Winta Jo Jody George. He served his country and retired from the United States Navy as a Master Chief Petty Officer. He was State Commander for Amvets and a member of the American Legion.
