Carl Wilbert Stroebel 79 of Cisco Texas passed away on August 1 2026 following a brief battle with stage IV metastatic cancer. Carl was born on July 1 1947 in Cisco to Carl William Julius Stroebel and Ella Murl Hallmark Stroebel. He was raised in the Lutheran church baptized on July 27 1947 and confirmed in the faith on April 10 1960. His confirmation scripture was John 83132 "If you hold to my teaching you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free." Carl graduated from Cisco High School in 1965 where he played trombone in the band. After graduation he attended Concordia Lutheran College in Austin Texas. He completed several semesters before meeting the love of his life Linda Carol Winkler. Carl and Linda married on April 201968.
