She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence Weldon and Flora Mae Frentress Hosch husband Troy Lee Pittman Jr sister Jeanette Hosch and brothers Donald Hosch and Jerry Hosch. Kathryn Nelson

, Texas

Born June 23 1935 in Bay City Texas Mrs. Nelson had been a resident of Alvin for several years previously of Lithia Springs Georgia and Santa Fe. Kathryn dedicated much of her life to serving and connecting with her community. She began her career as a nurse at Jeanie Sealey and later became the owner operator along with Bill of the Alta Loma Drug Store from 1972 until 1992. Through her years at the drug store she built lasting friendships and became a familiar and trusted presence to many. She was a former member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She served as a nurse for the Santa Fe School District where she cared for and supported countless students and families over the years.
