Raymond was born in Belton Texas on June 24 1938 to Claude Lee and Cora Maynard Roberts. He was born the 4th child of eleven children. He met his lifelong love Ila Mae Baker and married on May 26 1956 in Peacock Texas. They spent 65 years making wonderful memories together until Mae passed away in 2021. For the past five years he went to her graveside daily sometimes twice daily to sit with her and read her scriptures from the bible. His devotion never wavered. He was a member of Victory Christian Fellowship Church in Hamilton where he would occasionally preach the gospel in his signature good old fashioned way. He worked for many years as a cable splicer for United Telephone Company and eventually began his own company Roberts Cable Splicing. He retired around 2007 to help take care of Mae when her health began to decline. He…
