Martha Wostal McCloskey age 82 was called home to our Lord on August 11 2026. She was born on September 14 1943 in Alice Texas to Felix Alexander Wostal and Hazel Thompson Wostal. She graduated from Orange Grove High School in 1962. Highlights of her High School years include Homecoming Queen Assistant Drum Major and FFA Chapter Sweetheart. She married her High School sweetheart Don Ray McCloskey on November 30 1963. They were married for 58 years until his death in 2022. They had three children Don Ray McCloskey II Anita Lee Ann Richardson Ron and Niki Arnold. In her adult years she was a member of the Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and was a founding member of the 4H FFA Orange Grove Booster Club that benefited many children in the community through scholarships. She married John Barron and together they had one daughter Michelle. Peggy had a servants heart and a passion for taking care of others. She retired from nursing to raise her daughter however she continued to serve and care for those in her community. She loved spending time with her family and animals. She enjoyed photography coloring reading writing calligraphy and watching crime shows. She could never pass up taking a picture of a beautiful sunset.
