Georgia Sedenia Stoughton Couch born July 7 1928 to George and Alice Stoughton on their family farm near Follett Texas leaves behind a legacy of faith family hard work creativity perseverance and a deep love for her community. Georgia passed away peacefully on August 8 2026 with her family by her side. Georgia graduated from Follett High School in 1945. After graduation she moved to Harrison Arkansas where she lived with family and worked as a seamstress. Georgia became the mother of two children daughter Barbara and son Billy. She later moved with her children to Wichita Kansas where she worked as an elevator operator. Eventually she returned to Follett beginning years of work and service in the community she loved. Clifton Davis a beloved husband father grandfather brother and friend passed away on August 14 2026 at the age of 96. He was born on August 30 1929 in Coon Holler Oklahoma to Joe Harvey Davis and Roxie Sparks Davis. Clifton grew up alongside his siblings Patsy Ima Ruth Barbara Jody Reba Janis and his brother Gerald Davis on Ignorant Ridge. On June 28 1949 Clifton married the love of his life Maxine Laxton Davis. Together they built a strong family and were blessed with three children Julie Joe and Gregg. Because of Cliftons work in the oil industry the family moved frequently over the years before eventually settling in Laverne Oklahoma which they made their home.
