Als life began in the cotton fields of Mississippi and Louisiana where he learned the value of hard work at an early age. He went on to build a long and successful career managing and supervising dozens of Anthonys retail stores in the West Texas Area where his warmth and personable nature left a lasting impression on employees and customers alike. A lifelong learner Al especially enjoyed reading and in his later years developed a strong interest in neuroscience. He remained curious about the world and eager to understand how thingsand peopleworked. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years Gwenda Lee Peets who passed away on July 5 2019.
