Growing up in Dumont Terry grew fond of living a simple life. He loved to fish and hunt and those passions only grew as his life went on. If you were ever fortunate to meet Terry you would be greeted with a warm and loving smile and probably a cold beer as well. Ronald G. Bailey was born to Welton G. Bailey and Inez Clifton Bailey on March 21 1941 in the Whiteflat Community North of Matador Motley County Texas. His favorite childhood memory was traveling to the mountains with the Boy Scouts. He graduated from Matador High School in 1959 where he was voted "Most Popular Boy" and he went to state in track on the 440 relay team. He attended Tarleton State College then a Junior College for two years then he went to Texas Tech University where he was the President of the Texas Tech Collegiate Chapter of the FFA during his Senior year. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture from Texas Tech University in 1965.
