McAuley 72 passed away peacefully on August 6 2026 in Garrison Texas. He was a devoted husband father grandfather brother friend and a proud Marine who remained a Marine until his final day. Mike was born to William and Jacqueline McAuley. He graduated from East Texas State University in Commerce before attending Officer Candidate School in Quantico Virginia. After completing Officer Candidate School he began flight training in Pensacola Florida. He was selected to fly helicopters and continued his training in Milton Florida. Mike dedicated 20 years of his life to serving his country in the United States Marine Corps. Throughout his military career he served with honor courage and an unwavering sense of responsibility.
