Martin Norberto Rodriguez passed away peacefully on July 1 2026 with his loving family by his side. He was 74. Martin was born on June 5 1952 in Sinton Texas to Concepcion Para and Mariano J. Rodriguez. Although he was a resident of Corpus Christi at the time of his passing he lived in Taft and Portland many years. A proud veteran of the United States Navy Martin dedicated his life to serving both his country and his community. He was a gifted musician whose passion for music touched countless lives. He faithfully served as choir director at Immaculate Conception Church in Taft and was well known for playing bass guitar with the band "Kanela with a K".
