In Loving Memory of Dr. Hans Arnt “Opa” MeinardusDr. Hans Arnt “Opa” Meinardus, 92, went to meet his dear Savior, Jesus, on October 6th, 2026. He left this world peacefully, surrounded by family at his home in Glen Rose overlooking the Paluxy River.Hans was born in Germany to Hans Wilhelm Hugo and Anna Elisabeth on September 13, 1934. During World War II, he lived in Vienna, Austria to escape the difficult conditions after WWII, the family moved to Chile, South America, where Hans Arnt spent his formative years on a remote family ranch and on many mountaineering adventures in the Andes. He obtained a degree in Mining Engineering at the University of Chile and eventually met the love of his life, Corinna Victoria Kabath, in Santiago, Chile. After their wedding in 1963, Hans and Corinna moved to the USA where Hans completed his PhD in Geophysics at the Colorado School…
