Harold Ray Hooks Sr. was born on October 15 1952 to the late Herman and Susie Mae Moore Hooks. He was a beloved son husband father grandfather brother and friend whose life was marked by dedication to his family his country and his community. At the age of 18 Harold answered the call to serve his country and enlisted in the United States Army. He honorably served for 20 years faithfully carrying out his military duties before retiring from the Army. Following his military retirement Harold continued his commitment to service through his work with Longview Independent School District where he was employed for 18 years. He retired from Longview ISD in 2013. Harold was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Mary Ethel Hooks.
