Daniels story began on October 5 1952 in Winslow Arizona where he was born to Robert and Mary Barnes. But his story would not stay there. Life carried him to El Paso Texas where he graduated from Ysleta High School. Still a young man Daniel chose a path of service to his country and enlisted in the United States Navy. On July 20 1970 Daniel began his service in the U.S. Navy serving honorably until January 22 1973. During his enlistment he was stationed in Chicago. Those early years introduced responsibilities that would be followed by a lifetime of work requiring patience sound judgment and a deep commitment to both work and family. These were ordinary parts of his days but they were distinctly Jerry. Born July 29 1942 in San Angelo Texas Jerry was the son of George V. and Edna E. Morton.
