Funeral services for Sharon Kay Shirley are scheduled for 1030 a.m. Saturday July 11 2026 at Hietts LyBrand Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Sand Flat Cemetery in Grand Saline. Sharon Kay Coffey Shirley was born on December 2 1955 to the late Thurman N. Coffey and the late Nina Mae Looney Coffey. She was raised in Dallas and attended Woodrow Wilson High School before graduating from the nursing program at Trinity Valley Junior College in Terrell as a registered nurse. Throughout her nursing career Sharon worked at several healthcare facilities including Childrens Hospital Grand Saline Hospital Terrell State Hospital and in home health care. She retired from nursing in 2011 after many years of caring for others. On October 25 1980 Sharon married George Shirley in Carrollton. They made their home in Dallas before building…
