On October 22 1945 a precious life began in Nacogdoches Texas as Margie Ann Pettus Green was born the youngest child to the late R.B. Pettus and Vinnie Simpson. At an early age her family relocated to Houston Texas on November 4 1951 where she was raised and educated in the public school system. She later graduated from Phyllis Wheatley High School. Margie was a woman of quiet strength skill and dedication. She worked faithfully for many years as a seamstress with Pilgrim Cleaners and Laundry where her craftsmanship and attention to detail were well respected. Even after retirement her passion for sewing remained evident as she continued providing alteration services to those in her community. At an early age Margie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior laying the spiritual foundation that would guide her life. In 1970 she became one of the founding members of Greater Northeast Antioch…
