Funeral services will be held Friday April 3 2026 at 1100 am at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert Thomas officiating. Benny was born Tuesday July 11 1944 in Vernon Texas. He was the son of the late Linsey Gaines and the late Pearl Hampton Gaines. He married Glenda Sue Evans on February 19 1965 in Clovis New Mexico. He worked for Lone Star Gas Company. Benny loved to play cards and spend time with his family. He was a member of the Greater Hopewell Assembly of God. Benny is survived by his wife Glenda Sue Red Gaines of the home his son Brian Gaines of Plano Texas seven grandchildren Tashanna Destinee Linzy Kayla Nicholos Kieren and Jaden eight great grandchildren Kavvone Seren Malik Kaden Kyler Calvyn Cyntel and Deshawn and one greatgreat grandchild Analiyah. Buddy Lee Grant 70 of Vernon Texas passed away peacefully at his home on March 28 2026 while sleeping. Graveside services will be held Thursday April 2 2006 at 100 pm at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Paducah Texas under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home of Vernon Texas. Pall Bearers are grandson Christopher Grant brothers John Grant Kenneth Grant Charles Grant Rodney Grant and Randy Grant. Buddy was born on Sunday January 29 1956 in Paducah Texas to the late Kenneth Herschel Grant and Emma Jean Underwood Grant. Buddy was a Christian man and was a member of the Missionary Baptist church in Paducah Texas as a young man. As a boy Buddy loved any sport that included a ball.
