Marlene R. Adams 91 of South Royalton VT passed away Monday March 30 2026 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Marlene was born February 22 1935 in Barre to Alfred and Isabel Blakebrough Rowe. She married Donald G. Adams of Randolph on August 3 1958. They lived in Tolland CT before moving back to South Royalton in 1973. Marlene graduated from Chelsea High School and Johnson State College with a teaching degree. For over 37 years she taught mostly second grade in Connecticut and Vermont and was proud to have received the UVM Outstanding Vermont Teacher Award in 1985. She loved jigsaw puzzles playing dominoes baking and spending time outdoors working in her flower beds and even mowing the lawn. Together she and Don enjoyed vegetable gardening square dancing camping traveling and being active members of numerous antique car and tractor clubs.
