Barbara Barnette Raines, 89, passed away on October 7, 2026, in Fishersville, Virginia.Born on February 8, 1937, in Charlottesville, Virginia, Barbara was the daughter of the late Oscar Gunnell Barnette and Ethel Alice King Barnette. She graduated from Albemarle High School and later attended Madison College in Harrisonburg, Virginia, now James Madison University.Barbara is survived by her husband, Richard Junior Raines; her sons, David Fitzgerald (Kathy) and Richard Lee Raines (Beckey); her daughter, Lisa Urbine (Louis); her sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Charles Wilmer; her grandchildren, Christopher, Stephen, Ashley, Chastity, Kelsey, Cheyenne, and Austin; and her great-grandchildren, Afton, Piper, Olivia, Jade, Aaedyn, Harper, and Trey.Throughout her life, Barbara enjoyed traveling and saw much of the country with her husband and family. She loved music and enjoyed attending concerts with her daughter, and in her younger days she enjoyed dancing. Above all, she cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren…
