Queen Esther Blackwell 102 of 1515 Mineral Springs Rd. Pelham NC passed away on Saturday February 14 2026 at Annie Penn Hospital Reidsville NC. Born January 1 1924 in Gilliam WVA she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Mary Swann Blackwell. Survivors include a host of nieces nephews cousins other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by two brothers John Henry Blackwell and James Calvin Blackwell. The family will receive friends at the residence of her niece Ms. Harriette Fairley at 342 Jefferies Rd. Pelham NC from 127 PM daily. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday February 21 2026 at 1 PM from Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Roderick Fitz Eulogist. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
