Mrs. Frances Mae Phillips Jennings, age 85, of Sparta, NC, passed away peacefully Friday, October 9, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.She was born in Grayson County, VA., March 7, 1941 to the late Halford Linnie Phillips and Alma Sue Hodge Phillips. In addition, to her parents, Mrs. Jennings was preceded in death by a son, Carl David Jennings, her brothers, Donald Phillips, Herbert Phillips and James Hodge. A sister, Pansey Hawks.She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ernest Whitfield Jennings Jr. of the home. Her daughters, Deborah Baker of the home, Sandra Dickens and husband Steven of Sparta, NC, her brothers, Larry Phillips and Martin Phillips of Independence, VA. her sisters, Brenda Norman and husband Donnie of Galax, VA and Sue Anders and husband Kenneth of Galax, VA., Five grandchildren, Carl David Jennings Jr., Laura Gobble, Kristen Dickens, Walter Bostian Jr., Five great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren…
