Floyd Meredith Buddy Lowe Jr. age 77 passed away on February 9 2026 at UNC Rex Rehab and Nursing Care Center in Apex North Carolina. Buddy the youngest of three siblings was born in Hampton Virginia on October 7 1948 to Floyd Meredith Lowe Sr. and Betty B. Lowe. Although Buddy was born with an intellectual disability that provided many challenges his gregarious personality trusting spirit childlike demeanor and contagious laughter endeared him to all. Buddy had many interests and passions including dogs bowling fishing food riding in his nephews cars Westerns the original Hawaii 50 and most of all INK PENS. Buddy had a wonderful gift for a turn of phrase giving our family many enduring quotable kernels of wisdom. He was a gift to our family and he will be missed until we see him again on the other side.
