Melinda Dawn Mills, aged 43, of Virginia Beach, Virginia passed away peacefully at home on October 8, 2026. She was born on February 21, 1983, in Provo, Utah to loving parents Mitchell Mills and Janice Crosby Grindley.Melinda graduated with honors from Salem High School, VB in 2001. She was awarded an achievement award for the highest GPA in the CTE program and received an honorary recognition for academic achievements in the 2000-2001 WHO'S WHO AMONG AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS.Having earned two scholarships, Melinda attended Radford University for two years, with a major in Computer Science. To help with college costs, she applied for and received a position as an RA in her dorm. As with all things she put her mind to, she far exceeded expectations as a sophomore filling the position.While considering projects for the dorm to participate in, she came into contact with the Native American Heritage Association.…
