Born on October 31 1944 he was the son of the late Robert Daniel Miller and Dorothy Louise Price Miller. A United States Marine Corps veteran known to most as Dan and many as Captain Dan he lived a life marked by deep love for his family enduring friendships and a lifelong passion for aviation. Dan was a loving and proud father to his two sons Lindsay Miller of Washington D.C. and Ryan Miller of Wilmington N.C. He was also a devoted friend and companion to his wife Gayle Miller of Atlanta GA. Dan valued loyalty conversation and time spent with the people he cared about.
