Gerard Thomas Anton 76 died on March 30 2026 at his home in Montclair VA. Tom was born on October 13 1949 in Panama Canal Zone while his father was serving in the Navy. He was predeceased by his parents Jerry and Christine Anton and his brother John Anton. Tom leaves behind his wife of 53 years Julia H. Anton his sisters Sharon Talmadge Deborah Sugg Christina Marrs and her husband Randall a brother Michael Anton and his wife Carolyn nieces and nephews Denise Davis Christy Talmadge Jeff Talmadge Kerri HillCawthorne Joe Sugg Chris Sugg Sarah Marrs Richard Marrs Randall Marrs Paul Anton and Stephanie Anton. Tom was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Triangle Virginia. He worked in the accounting departments of McDonalds Corporation MCI Telecommunications and ATT Corporation. A devoted husband father and grandfather David lived a life defined by hard work humor and a deep love for those closest to him. David began his career in the newspaper industry before finding his true calling in finance where he spent over 40 years building his own firm. Through dedication integrity and perseverance he created not only a successful business but a legacy of commitment and leadership that impacted many.
