Born on April 1 1957 in Amelia County Virginia Lettie was the daughter of the late Johnny and Lizzy Crawley. Lettie was a woman of profound faith and a true warrior. Diagnosed with sickle cell anemia as a child doctors predicted she would not live past the age of thirteen. However Lettie possessed a "feisty" spirit and a heart full of courage proving them wrong for 68 years. She was a devoted Woman of God who refused to let chronic illness define her. Instead she lived a life of service caring for her son supporting her friends and loving her family fiercely. She was a fighter until the very end showing us all the power of a heavy faith.
