Dear Family and Friends,It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Christopher Michael Bergendahl, age 39, of Suffolk, Virginia. Chris passed away on September 30, 2026, from injuries sustained in a tragic motor vehicle accident while driving to work. He was surrounded by many loving friends and family during his final days.Born on May 5, 1987, in Enfield, Connecticut, to Kevin and Hrotswitha Bergendahl, Christopher was an active and playful child. He participated in soccer, swimming, and baseball. As a young boy, he joined Cub Scouts, continued on to the Boy Scouts then rose to the rank of Eagle Scout by demonstrating a strong commitment to service and leadership. Chris graduated from Enfield High School in 2005.Immediately following high school, Chris enlisted in the United States Army. Robert Leroy Kunze, 76, of Suffolk, Virginia, passed away peacefully at his home on September 18, 2026.Born on November 14, 1949, in Warren, Ohio, Robert was a distinguished military veteran known to many as Bob. Following his military service, he pursued a career as an electrician, eventually earning the title of Master Electrician. He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (I.B.E.W.) for more than 40 years, working at the naval shipyards in Portsmouth and Norfolk, Virginia.Bob was a softhearted, God-fearing Christian who cared deeply for others. He enjoyed meaningful conversations with friends and family, sharing memories, reflecting on life, and discussing his faith in God. His kindness, faith, and appreciation for the people around him left a lasting impression on those who knew him.Bob is survived by his three children, Kathy Kunze, Renee Kunze Brown, and Vincent Kunze.He will be deeply missed by his family…
