His life began on December 12 1961 as the youngest son of five children born to the late Clara Jimmerson Harris and Phil Harris. He graduated from Lafayette High School in 1980 and went on to attend a technical program at Woodrow Wilson Workforce and Rehabilitation Center in Fishersville Virginia. In his early life Emerson was met with the challenge of a disability that affected his personal life but that did not stop him from having many accomplishments and achievements. He was a man of few words shy and softspoken. It is said by others who knew him that to know him was to love him as he was funny athletic thoughtful and caring. We honor him in the life he lived and the love he shared with others.…

She was raised in "the Colony" where she grew up picking wild berries and enjoying fruit orchards playing house hopscotch and marbles with her close cousins. Marie thoroughly enjoyed a competitive game of cards. She loved playing Tonk or Deuces and laughing and sharing good times with her beloved cousins Joyce Norma and Mavis. Marie retired from Newport News Waterworks in 2010 after years of dedicated service she previously worked in custodial services at Riverside Hospital. Marie was a faithful and active member of Colossian BaptistChurch since August of 1959 serving lovingly in both the Senior Choir and the Priscilla Missionary Ministry.She was an avid football fan who often sported her Dallas Cowboys attire.
