Delma Cinderella Gilroy was born on May 18 1931 in Port Angeles Washington to John and Nina Poisel. She grew up in the Yakima Valley where she met her husband and lifelong partner John Edward Gilroy. Delma and John went on to attend Bible college in Saskatoon Saskatchewan Canada which prepared them for a life grounded in deep Christian faith and devotion to her Savior Jesus Christ. For 74 years Delma shared her life with John. Serving alongside him as a pastors wife and attended to office duties in the mills he owned. She helped with the work of their churches in Maple Falls and at Amanda Park Assembly of God. In 1979 they also started a church in Orofino Idaho and lived there until 1983.
