Ann Roberta Hastings beloved mother wife and friend was born on April 11 1942 in Denver Colorado to Robert Arthur Mantell and Ruby Gloria Wamsley. She passed away peacefully on February 10 2026 with her daughters by her side. Ann spent her early years in the Seattle area after her family relocated there forming cherished memories that stayed with her throughout her life. She later moved to San Diego joining her mother and sister Jeanne. At Christmastime in 1965 Ann met her future husband Neil Red Hastings on a blind datean unexpected meeting that would shape the rest of her life. The two were married on March 6 1966 in San Diego. Red adopted Anns children Mark and Carla raising them as his own. Their daughter Vicky was born a few years later. Ann embraced the life of a Navy wife. Molly a loving compassionate and devoted mother and grandmother passed away in Anacortes Washington at 104 p.m. on Monday January 26 2026 at the age of 83. Born Barbara Lynne Berman on December 10 1942 in Brooklyn New York to Jess and Mary Berman she spent her early years in Brooklyn before moving with her family to Philadelphia. She remained close to her sister Mara sharing a lifetime of memories and family history. Her love of New York City remained with her throughout her life. She earned a B.A. in Philosophy from NYU and a masters degree in social work from UConn. Molly lived a life of service and devotion. She raised her beloved son as a single mother while dedicating more than 20 years to helping veterans struggling with alcoholism and drug addiction. She later entered private practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in group and family…
