Mary Alice Brimmer of Whatcom County passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, at the Christian Health Care Center in Lynden, Washington, surrounded by love and care, just days before her 96th birthday.Mary was born May 3, 1930, in Neche, North Dakota, the daughter of Shanley and Zoe Horgan. She married the love of her life, Raymond Brimmer, and they shared 48 wonderful years of marriage before his passing. During Raymond’s career in Immigration, they had the opportunity to live and raise their family in many different places.Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She is survived by her children: Steve (Sara) Brimmer of Blaine, Larry (Nan) Brimmer of Bothell, Nancy (Mark) Serebrin of Arizona, Julie (Don) Nyland of Lynden, and Robert Brimmer of Chicago.
