Catherine Sue “Cathy” Alder, 69, of Ronceverte, WV, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Peyton Hospice House, surrounded by her family.Born April 25, 1957 at York, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Robert Amberman and Dorothy June Gemmill Bacon. She was also preceded in death by her step-father Terry Bacon.Cathy graduated from Red Lion Senior High School in Pennsylvania; was formerly employed by Greenbrier Valley Hospital in the dietary department; was a retired secretary with Greenbrier Veterinary Hospital and was a cashier for Walmart in Lewisburg.She leaves to mourn her passing her husband of 50 years, Billy Dale Alder; two sons, Michael (Chrissy) Alder of Ronceverte and Brian (Angel) Alder of Frankford; her beloved grandchildren, Cody, Lacey, Courtney (Zach), Hunter, and Mikhail (Summer); also surviving are her siblings, Randal Amberman (Chris) of New Mexico, Karen Gross (Ken) of Felton, PA, Lori Topper of York, PA, Cheri Reed…
