A Life Well LivedHobert Ray Deskins, 72, of War, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on October 8, 2026, passing away peacefully at home with his beloved wife, Terry, by his side.A devoted Christian, Hobert was a faithful member of the Assembly of God Church in War. He retired from Miles Branch Coal Mines after approximately 35 years in the coal mining industry and was a proud member of UMWA District 17, Local 6025.Hobert loved fishing, hunting, and gardening, but one of his greatest joys was teaching the children in his life to fish. Through his patience and love, he created memories that will be treasured for generations.
