George Patterson Pat Kade 90 departed this world April 2 2026 and is preceded in death by his parents Ada Brewster and Ishmael Byron Kade and his brother William Byron Kade. Pat spent the majority of his career in construction and was foreman on area projects like the Alexander Fine Arts Building at Concord University The Mercer Mall Princeton Community Hospital and McKeever Lodge at Pipestem State Park. While working on the East River Tunnel Pat designed and built the wooden door coverings for the entrances and exits of the tunnel a feat that was thought impossible. He kept building and constructing even when he left the big jobs. There are numerous decks playhouses and renovated spaces that bear the workmanship of which Pat was capable.
