Connie Sue Moats, 55, a resident of Elkins passed from this life Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Vandalia Health Davis Medical Center.Connie was born Thursday, September 17, 1970, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Earl Tide Moats and Cindy Ellen Pifer Moats who survives in Parsons.Also left to cherish Connie’s memory are four children, Christopher Lee Moats of Newburg, Julia Cowie of Kansas, Jessica Triplett of Clarksburg, and Brandy Triplett of Belington, two grandchildren, Juliette Hukill and Calliope Hukill, both of Clarksburg, two siblings, Allen Moats and Loretta Watson, both of Parsons, her favorite cat, Taz, and several nieces and nephews.Preceding Connie in death besides her father was an infant girl, Abrigal Moats and a sister, Jane Moats.Connie attended Tucker County High School and later obtained her GED. Stephen Wayne Channell, 71, a resident of Elkins passed from this life unexpectedly Friday morning, October 9, 2026, at his home.Stephen was born Thursday, February 24, 1955, in Elkins into what would become a large family with many extended family members. His parental influences came from Elmer Channell, Montellia Jackson, and Joe Adams, before being adopted by Dick and Betty White, all of which preceded him in death.Stephen was never married. Pat Corley

Patricia Ann “Pat” Corley, age 83 years, a resident of Elkins, passed away Friday evening, October 9, 2026 at her home, surrounded by family and friends under the care of West Virginia Caring Hospice. She was born November 2. 1942 at Jimtown, WV a daughter of the late Arthur “Shorty” Phillips and the late Mildred Broschart Phillips. On November 3, 1968 at Oakland, MD she married Curtis Lynn Corley who preceded her in death on March 5, 2014. Surviving is one son, Steven Corley and wife Valerie of Jane Lew, WV and one daughter, Christie Shoemaker and husband Chad of Elkins. Two granddaughters, Sara Shoemaker of Fairmont and Sophie Shoemaker of Elkins. Pat attended the schools of Randolph County and was a graduate of Coalton High School Class of 1960. She retired as a Clerical Secretary at Davis Memorial Hospital. Her prior employment included clerical duties with the Federal Government…
