Gary Kirk Weinkauf, age 76, of Eau Claire, passed away on October 9, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.Gary was born on May 20, 1950, in Menomonie, WI. Gary graduated from Menomonie High School in 1968. After graduating, he served in the Army from 1969 to 1972. After his service in the military, he worked as a computer programmer and a consultant.Some of Gary’s passions were woodworking, reading, painting, fishing, and watching sports. He had a special love for dogs. He had many throughout his life. Gary’s greatest joy came from spending time with his family.He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra (Smith), of 55 years. He is also survived by his son, Bradley (Anne Marie); daughter, Melissa Kluge (Bill); grandchildren, John, Bryant, Amber, Makenna, and Alyssa; and siblings-in-law, Nancy (Tom) Goller, Rick Olson, Donna (Larry) Wold, Karen (Charlie) Hart, Janet Veleke, and Shirley (Ron) Parejko.
