Donald Gene Benzine age 94 of DeForestRio passed away on Monday August 3 2026 at Heritage Senior Living in Monona WI. Don was born on January 16 1932 in Columbus WI the son of William and Ida Leistikow Benzine. He married Mary Anne Schwoerer on September 29 1951 in Doylestown WI. Together they raised five children. He held many jobs throughout his life including working at Fall River Foundry raising tobacco alongside family laying cable selling cars owning and operating the Rainbow Inn Otsego WI and Benzine Bus Service for Rio Schools. When he retired he was working as a custodian for the Poynette School District. In retirement he took a job as a bus driver for Kobussen Buses serving DeForest Schools.
