Ronald R. Tayek, age 81, of Prairie du Chien, formerly of Monona, IA, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Lancaster Health Services in Lancaster, WI. He was born on February 4,1945, in Monona, IA, the son of Donald and Marcella (Sabbann) Tayek. He graduated from Monona High School. On September 7, 1968, Ron married the love of his life, Gloria Montie at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Alpena, MI; three children were born to this union. Ron proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He went to college for business, making his career as a paint salesman. After retirement, he drove transit for a few years in Northeast Iowa. He then jumped into his love of woodworking, making beautiful creations.Ron loved to fish, hunt, and spend time outdoors.
