Dan R. Schanock 75 of Green Bay passed away in Sturgeon Bay on Sunday February 8 2026 at his Door County home surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 4 1951 in Kenosha the son of the late Romaine and Mary Ritter Schanock. Dan spent part of his early years in Lake Forest IL before his father moved the family to Green Bay to open what would be the first of many McDonalds Restaurants in the Green Bay area. He later graduated from Premontre Catholic High School in Green Bay and proudly followed in his fathers footsteps by entering the McDonalds business. Over the course of 47 years Dan built a distinguished career within McDonalds becoming a respected owner and operator known for his dedication to his employees and the community. Allen Orde

Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin

Allen J. Orde 66 years of Sturgeon Bay passed away early Saturday morning February 14 2026 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. He was born April 18 1959 in Algoma the son of the late Harvey and Grace Peterson Orde. Allen graduated from Algoma High School in 1977. He was employed for many years at Evergreen Nursery in Sturgeon Bay and also worked at Schartners Farm Market in the orchards and with the maple syrup process during spring season. Allen enjoyed exercising at the Door County YMCA riding his moped and ebike around town and simply being outdoors. He was happy ice fishing with friends and watching Packer games. Surviving family includes his sister Jean Jerry Jandrin of Sturgeon Bay two nieces Julie Charles and Michelle Gilson two nephews Brian Charles and Freddy Charles dear greatnieces greatnephews and friends. Myrvin Somerhalder

Sister Bay, Wisconsin

Myrvin Pern Somerhalder 85 of Fish Creek Wisconsin passed away on February 11 2026 at Pete and Jelaine Horton Skilled Nursing Center at the Door County Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 25 1940 in Antioch CA the son of the late Irvin and Myrle Barr Somerhalder and was a 1958 graduate of Liberty High School in Brentwood California. After high school Myrv attended college classes until his enlistment in the Air Force in 1961. He was honorably discharged in 1965. Myrv married Holly Hardt at the Bahai House of Worship Wilmette Illinois on November 16 1968 and together they shared 57 years of marriage and raised two children. He was a man of strong faith and will be buried in accordance with Bahai traditions. Myrv and Holly moved to Fish Creek Wisconsin in 1970. Myrv worked with Lee Telfer and Curt Wiltse in…
