Romilda “Millie” (Nett) Halbach, age 96, of New Holstein, passed away with her family at her side on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Caring Hands Assisted Living in New Holstein.The former Romilda Nett was born August 2, 1929, in the Town of Brothertown near Jericho to the late Philipp & Margaret (Gruber) Nett.Millie attended Holy Trinity Catholic Grade School in Jericho and graduated from Chilton High School in 1947. After graduating, she worked in the office at Hart Carter in New Holstein. On September 20, 1949, she married Herbert “Herbie” Halbach at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jericho. Herbie preceded her in death on June 3, 2010.Following her marriage, she worked alongside of Herbie on their farm near Marytown and also worked for some time at Heus Egg Farm.
