Dear mother of Pamela (Michael Tennie) Lardinois, Cindy Ortiz, and Monica Lardinois. Grandmother of Cindy’s daughter, Maria Ortiz; and Monica’s children, Nathan Ortiz, Olivia Ortiz, Paris Ortiz and Daisy. Sister of Peter (Kate) Lorenz, Paul (Elyse) Lorenz and Cathy (Wolfgang) Schrauth. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Preceded in death by her parents Walter and Marjorie (nee Hilger) Lorenz, her brother Joseph, and her former husband Dick Lardinois, who never stopped thinking of her as the love of his lifePrior to her 1987 diagnosis, Virginia was an avid gardener, producing bumper crops of tomatoes, zucchini, eggplant and more. Her daughters fondly remember being sent over the fence with baskets of produce to pass through windows to elderly neighbors that lived in the apartment behind their house.…
