Janice Marquis Magnusson Holmes passed away on March 23, 2026. She was born in Norway, Michigan, September 9, 1935, to Peter and Althea (Laabs) Marquis. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh, with a degree in education.She loved teaching, but loved traveling more. Her love of travel began while teaching for the military in Okinawa. Her travels took her all over the world. She spent time in the Orient, Russia, and visited Europe, South America, and Africa. The most unusual trip she took was to float down the Amazon. (Her biggest complaint was the bugs were terrible.)She never met a book she didn’t love. She was a voracious reader and often her first question to visitors was “what are you reading? A life well lived, Jack L Schroeder of Crivitz passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026 at the age of 91 surrounded by love and family. Leaving us with cherished memories and a profound sense of loss.Jack lived a life rooted in simple pleasures, hard work, and a deep love for the outdoors. From an early age Jack found joy in nature which he passed down to his children and grandchildren. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, trapper, and had a special talent for forging mushrooms. Deer season was especially meaningful to him. He looked forward to deer camp at Buck Hollow, where he spent every year in the woods waiting for “That Buck”, his love of hunting never faded.
