Carolyn Joyce Deal was born on March 20, 1943, in Wheaton, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Philip and Fern (Kurth) Schmitz. Carolyn was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith as a youth. She received her education in Wheaton and was a member of the class of 1961.Carolyn was united in marriage to Joseph Deal in Wheaton, Minnesota, and their marriage was blessed with six children: Brian, Jeanne, David, Jennifer, Jodi, and Andrew. Over the years, the couple resided in Wheaton, Taylors Falls, and most recently, Hutchinson, MN. They shared 65 years of marriage.Carolyn spent many years as a bookkeeper, bank teller, and in property management.She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and friends. She also had a lifelong love of animals and treasured the many pets she cared for over the years.Carolyn passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Harmony River Living…
