Robert J. Abb, age 86, passed away peacefully at Our House Senior Living in Janesville on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. He was born on March 8, 1940, in Beloit, WI, the son of Ralph and Phyllis Abb. Bob graduated from Janesville High School in 1958. He went on to serve four years in the US Navy, completing his training at San Diego Training Center. He was voted as his company honor man, served on the USS Coral Sea, and a total of eight different carriers. He served a year on Midway Island, was in squadron YF 124 north of San Diego at Mirimar Naval Air Station. On July 16, 1960, he married Helen I. Rastall and together they had three children.Bob had a Rockford Morning Star paper route for two years, worked at a restaurant for two years, and worked at Harder’s Filling Station and Motorcycle Shop.
