Phyllis Marie Roethle, age 76, of Rubicon, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 2, 2026.Phyllis was born on October 28, 1958, in Hartford, Wisconsin, to Norbert and Marcella (née Gehl) Roethle. On July 20, 2007, she was united in marriage to Francis Merkes Jr., with whom she shared 18 wonderful years.She was a dedicated employee at Wacker Corporation for many years, where she was known for her hard work and commitment. In her free time, Phyllis found joy in cooking, baking, and fishing. Her greatest passion, however, was tinkering and creating alongside Francis, especially when it came to recycling items.Phyllis is survived by her loving husband, Francis; her siblings; and many cherished family members and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as siblings and other beloved relatives.She will be remembered for her creativity, warmth, and the love she shared with those around her.
