Voncile Smith Lee age 78 of McKenzie passed away February 14 2026 surrounded by her loving family. On a bright day in 1947 Voncile Lee was born. She grew up with her four siblings in Chapman Alabama learning the value of hard work and honesty. She met the love of her life and married Lester in 1963. Over the years she had many jobs but none were as important as her role as a mother and farmhand. During this time Voncile developed a love for shoes furniture and new cars. Above all the things she enjoyed shopping for she loved her family most. Sunday afternoons after she came home from church became known as Granny Day a time when her children grandchildren and greatgrandchildren piled in to visit. Her chances of missing a trip to the Smoky Mountains were as slim as losing a game of aggravation. Over the years…
