Brenda Gail Edwards 65 passed away on October 10 2026 in Dothan Alabama where she made her home for much of her life. Gail was born on September 23 1961 in Atlanta Georgia and was raised in Fairburn Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Brenda Mayo and James Bishop Sr. and the stepdaughter of the late John Mayo affectionately known as Papa John who held a very special place in Gails heart and was a loving father to her throughout her life. Gail was a homemaker but that hardly captures what she devoted her life to doing. She built her life around raising her children caring for her family and being there for the people she loved. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday October 17 2026 at Union Springs Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend John Taylor and Reverend Raymond Rivers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday October 17 2026 one hour prior to the service. Mr. Grubbs was born June 30 1944 in Ashford Alabama the son of the late Louis and Pauline Cosby Grubbs. He was a member of Union Springs Free Will Baptist Church. He was a loving husband father grandfather great grandfather and greatgreat grandfather. He was proud of his grandchildren. He loved woodworking and never met a stranger. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Frances Grubbs sons Robert Grubbs Tommy Staton daughter Tammy Larimore brother Eddie Grubbs sister Faylene Turner several grandchildren greatgrandchildren and one greatgreatgrandchild.
