Betty Lou Maxwell, age 95, passed away peacefully in her Scottsdale, Arizona home on March 22, 2026. Betty was born on June 4, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to Orvil and Minnie (Peterson) Wegan. She was raised in Wisconsin and was the eldest of eleven children. She later met her husband, MacDowell "Max" Maxwell, in Duluth, Minnesota. They married in March of 1965 in Tampa, Florida before relocating to Arizona in 1966.Betty is survived by her daughter, Janelle, her granddaughter, Emily, her Uncle Curt, her siblings Patricia "Pat", Dale, Dennis, and Peggy, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her siblings Marilyn, Jevonne, Wanda, Leo, Judy, and Dwaine.Betty was an active person. She enjoyed taking walks, listening to music, and dancing. She loved the outdoors, especially gardening and spending time in nature, where she could often be found whistling to the birds…

He graduated from Cornell University in 1955 and served in the Air Force after college. At the dawn of the computer age, Len started his career at IBM, and he later became a freelance computer consultant. A deeply intellectually curious man, Len was a lifelong voracious reader. Later in life, Len decided to pursue his passion for research and writing, obtaining a Master in Fine Arts degree and publishing several successful books in the field of U.F.O. Literature and dozens of articles on new age and philosophical topics. Len is survived by his son, Larry, his grandchildren, Josh and Maddie, and several nieces and nephews and their families.
