Born and raised in a hardworking Italian American household Barbara was the daughter of Lena and C. George Varriale formerly of Berlin. Pragmatic caring and deeply devoted to her family she spent much of her adult life as a valued employee of Rowland Products in Berlin. She is survived by her brother Jim Varriale her nephews Tom Witkewicz David Witkewicz and Max Varriale her greatniece and greatnephew Rachael and Adam Witkewicz and several cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved sister Rosemarie Witkewicz a Bristol teacher.
