He especially cherished playing alongside his sons and watching them continue the familys musical tradition. His music left a lasting impression on all who heard him play. Robert J. Stark, 80, of New Britain, CT, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2026. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Stark, with whom he shared 52 years of marriage.Born and raised in Metropolis, IL, Robert attended high school in Metropolis, Terre Haute, IN, and St. Louis, MO. At the age of 19, he proudly joined the U.S. Army, where he received training in aviation and served 13 months in South Vietnam. He served as a Crew Chief Flight Engineer on UH-1 helicopters. During his military service, Robert furthered his education by attending Baylor University in Waco, TX, Auburn University in Auburn, AL, and the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL.Following his military service, Robert built a long career in the Waterworks and Gas Industries, working in Decatur, IL, Sanford, FL, and Vernon, CT. Heronima “Henia” Wilczewska, 93, of New Britain, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2026. Born on November 2, 1932, in Poland, Heronima was the daughter of the late Kazimierz and Genowefa Kowalewski. She came to the United States from Poland in 1980 and made New Britain her home. She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Church in New Britain.Heronima was a devoted mother and grandmother who treasured the time she spent with her family. She will be lovingly remembered for her strength, warmth, and devotion to those she loved.She leaves behind her sons, Stanislaw Wilczewski of Poland, Janusz Wilczewski and his wife, Beata, of Poland; and Ireneusz Wilczewski and his partner, Loret, of Miami. She is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
