Charles “Charlie” William Ethington, age 71, of Lerna passed away on May 8, 2026 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.Funeral services honoring his life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Schilling Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Haifley officiating. Burial will follow at Beals Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Charlie was born on October 1, 1954 in Mattoon, Illinois the son of Charles Thomas and Betty Jane (Redfern) Ethington. He married Beverly Allen on April 22, 1987. Robert L. Snapp, age 91, of Bloomington, Illinois, formerly of Nashville, TN and Mt. Zion, IL, passed away on May 9, 2026 at The Villas of Hollybrook in Bloomington.A private graveside service with Military Rites will be held at Dodge Grove Cemetery. Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family. Robert was born on March 9, 1935 in Mattoon, Illinois the son of Cervia D. and Margaret B. (Hunt) Snapp. He married Delores Ticknor on August 3, 1958. She preceded him in death. He later married Sharon Burke on October 4, 1997.
